Historically, a Kuthi was penned by hand onto seasoned handmade paper scrolls (prepared from the inner bark of specific trees such as Agor / Sahi) using long-lasting natural charcoal and botanical inks. These scrolls were carefully rolled, wrapped in auspicious red or yellow silk cloths, and preserved within the family shrine.
